WP1: Development of comprehensive internationalisation strategy and tools at national level

Within WP 1 a comprehensive national internationalisation policy framework and tools will developed for facilitating the internationalisation practices in Armenia. From the outset a study tour will be organized to EU HEIs to review the internationalisation practices & policy framework: one week study tour in KTH with the participation of all EU partners for the presentation of different EU strategies on internationalisation. Main topics to be offered to the Armenian partners are: – Internationalisation strategies: Cases of Sweden, Spain, Portugal and Estonia; – The European Association and Academy for International Education; – European Observatory of Good practices: International practices; – Strategic plan for internationalization: Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Estonia. After the study tour a WG will be created to make a benchmarking analysis on internationalisation practices & review the current legislation, policies and priority areas of internationalisation in Armenia. A questionnaire will be developed in order to analyse the state-of-the-art of internationalisation in Armenia. The WG will produce a report with benchmarking analysis with recommendations. The above report will serve as a guidance for the development a comprehensive 5-year national internationalisation strategy and workplan embedding the mobility and other targets set throughout EHEA and organize a workshop to introduce the draft strategy and collect feedback. This task will be carried out by the MoES, KTH, UPC, and the Armenian partner universities through the definition of a strategic plan for the country. To reflect on the 2015 Yerevan Communique and raise the International profile of the AM HE the WG will develop a national model for the description of study programs of Armenia based on the recommendation of BFUG working group on Mobility and Internationalisation & develop guidelines to HEIs on the measurement, recognition and transfer of the ECTS credits gained outside Armenia. These publications will be also carried out by the 1.3 team. All the outcomes produced will be published in the National Platform for Internationalisation that will be produced under WP2.
